Our story
IT BEGAN WITH ONE VERY SMALL DOG WHO HAD NEVER BEEN GIVEN ANYTHING BEAUTIFUL.
CHANTI, FROM CHANTERELLE
Chanti came to us from a shelter. She had spent her early life as a breeding dog, kept for what she could produce rather than for who she was, and she arrived fragile, cautious and in poor health.
We gave her time, patience and a very soft bed. She gave us everything else.
Today she eats from porcelain. Salmon and broccolini are acceptable; anything from a shop is considered only if the word "Royal" appears on the label. She travels everywhere, and our days are, quite openly, arranged around her wellbeing. Having once been given nothing, she now declines to lower her standards.
We find we agree with her.
THE STANDARD
Dogs stay with us through everything: the good years, the difficult ones, the ordinary Tuesdays. They ask for remarkably little in return.
We believe they deserve the very best of us, and that the least we can do is choose well on their behalf.
WHY CHANTI
Caring for Chanti, we went looking for the things she needed and discovered how little of it was beautiful. Carriers were purely practical. Accessories were loud. Almost everything made "for pets" seemed to accept that it would look it, and in Estonia especially, the choice was small.
Times have changed. It is no longer eccentric to want the objects in your dog's life to meet the same standard as the objects in your own: considered design, honest materials, things made to last.
So we built the boutique we couldn't find. CHANTI brings together European brands we admire, each piece chosen for its design, its quality and how well it serves a small dog's everyday life.
Nothing is here simply because it is available. Everything is here because we would choose it for her, and did.
CHANTI COUTURE
CHANTI Couture began at a kitchen table, with a grandmother, a tape measure and a length of tweed.
We started sewing jackets for Chanti because nothing we found fitted a dog her size properly, or looked the way we felt it should. What began as a family project became an obsession with fabric, proportion and the small details most people never notice, and every dog wears better for.
From Spring 2027, we will make these jackets for others: cut to each dog's own measurements, in British couture tweeds and bouclés, and finished by hand in Estonia.
